Went for a Sunday drive to clear my head. 40 minutes later I ended up here at sunset. Could not have asked for a better destination. "Welcome this is the way...." The sign read. Even in winter the grounds were kept. As the sun set it was a sight to see! I only wish it had been a tad warmer and I had made it there a bit earlier. Definitely a good place to sit in retrospect, meditation, prayer, peace, calm, what-have-you.... I didn't even get to do that this time around. I could feel the energy as I walked the chapel grounds, read the memorial, walked around the graves. It is a powerful place to be. The buzz of something beyond my understanding, nothing strange or scary people, just the slightest of sounds barely audible. Like the wind, you can only hear it if it moves the leaves. Wonderful unexpected find on a Sunday drive. I hope to come back when I find free time, rare find these days.

Went for the eclipse. Staff was extremely helpful. Site was beautiful and well kept and the area was perfect for watching the eclipse. Will go back.

I love this place. My daddy's funeral 4 years ago was very heartwarming. They allowed me to place his ashes in the vault instead of them doing it. The grounds are always beautiful. I couldn't dream of a better place to have laid my daddy to rest for eternity.

A well-manicured, beautiful facility, with lots of history to share. The short video available at the park office is worth the time, as it does a good job explaining the history of the place and why it is important.

The cemetery and church are both pleasant places, and the grounds are all lovely. The story of the Confederate veteran's home is an interesting one!

Beautiful park. Quite. Ponds to fish in, small park for the little ones or just walk around it. Has a Confederate cemetery you can visit. Also the chapel is nice to look at.
